Yes. As a non-profit organization recognized as serving the public interest, UNISOAP can issue a tax receipt. A donation of goods is eligible for a tax deduction, just like a financial donation. Your company can thus benefit from a tax reduction of 60% of the donation value (based on the total value of the donated products), up to 0.5% of your annual revenue (Article 238 bis of the French General Tax Code).
-
The products are distributed to people in vulnerable situations through our partner associations across France. These partners are selected based on their activities and the communities they serve. In particular, we support people facing extreme hardship (homeless individuals, refugee populations), students in precarious situations, vulnerable women, and isolated elderly people through our major projects.
Partnering with UNISOAP means saving your products and supporting those who need them most.

Recycled soaps and recovered products are intended for non-profit organizations supporting people facing hardship: associations, shelters, social stores, outreach teams, etc.
Each structure is qualified during an initial meeting to ensure products will be redistributed to vulnerable populations, in line with our mission.
To book an appointment and access hygiene products, click this link.

If your organization only needs soaps, you can fill out the request form or email us at asso@unisoap.org.
If you want soaps and other hygiene products, you can request them directly when ordering on our solidarity platform.
We’ll contact you quickly to confirm availability.
-
Once your structure is approved, you’ll receive login credentials to access our solidarity webshop. Then you can consult the catalogue and place orders independently.
-

Hygiene: Shower gels, shampoos, soaps…
Dental care: Toothpaste, toothbrushes, kids’ kits…
Cleaning: Detergents, surface cleaners, antibacterial sprays…
Personal care: Lip balms, moisturizers, body lotions…
Accessories: Toiletry bags, combs, soap dishes…)The stock is updated frequently as donations come in. You’ll receive an email notification when new items become available.
You can order items either individually or as complete hygiene kits. A small solidarity contribution (typically 5%–20% of the market value) is requested to cover part of our logistics and handling costs.
-
There is no minimum order.
Products can be delivered by carrier or picked up in the Lyon area (Dardilly).
Payment is made by bank transfer within 30 days of invoice receipt.
Transport costs start at €100, with a 10 % surcharge on orders over €1,000.
-
The Solidarity Contribution (SC) represents between 5% and 20% of the market value of the products. It helps cover part of our costs, including storage, preparation, logistics, and more.
We are a non-profit association, and this contribution allows us to continue offering hygiene products at very low cost to the most vulnerable populations.
-
Be a hotel in France, Belgium, Italy or Spain.
Provide solid soaps in rooms. We don’t collect liquid soaps or creams.
If your hotel has more than 50 rooms, we can collect all soap references. Otherwise, we’ll need to check soap references before agreeing.
-
Hotel partnerships are formalized with a multi-year sponsorship agreement defining collaboration terms, supported by an annual financial donation based on room count.
A tax receipt is issued within two weeks after donation, allowing a 60 % tax deduction because UNISOAP is recognized as a public-interest association.
-
Yes! UNISOAP is a charity and can receive donations independently of soap recycling.
That helps us extend our impact in our mission: providing access to hygiene.
Bonus: By doing so, you will also meet Criterion 4 of the Green Key certification!
-
You decide when collections take place. They are not scheduled in advance. Hotels can request a pickup when they run low on storage space. To ensure at least one collection per year, we follow up with partners several times a year.
On average, hotels request one to two collections per year, helping us limit transportation and keep our approach as environmentally responsible as possible. If there hasn’t been any collection within the year, we proactively check in with the hotel.
The collection frequency varies, but we never refuse to collect.
-
Boxes must weigh no more than 10 kg and our carrier can collect up to 20 boxes per pickup.
Cartons should contain only soap (no packaging or other items) and shouldn’t mix different soap references to ensure traceability.
-
Once recycled by workers at the ESAT, the soaps (in 50 g or 100 g bars) are redistributed to people in need through our partner charities.
Your hotel’s contribution gives these used soaps a second life and helps restore dignity and self-esteem to people who need it most.
-
We’ve put together a full set of tools in our communication kit to help you showcase our partnership.
Inside, you’ll find a UNISOAP certificate of affiliation, ready-to-use content for your social media channels, and materials to display for your teams and guests…
Once a year, we also provide a detailed report on your hotel’s impact (amount of soap collected, environmental impact, number of people helped, etc.).
Finally, we guarantee visibility on our website and the publication of a Story on Instagram and Facebook to announce the partnership.
-
Switching to liquid soap might seem environmentally friendly, but it’s a misguided idea. Solid soap generally has a lower environmental impact than liquid soap, even in dispensers, and recycling your solid soaps with UNISOAP contributes to job creation for people with disabilities and better access to hygiene for the vulnerable.
-
UNISOAP is included in the Green Key catalog to help satisfy 2 criteria:
Environmental policy (Criterion 4)
Waste management (Criterion 92)The donation agreement and annual collection reports serve as proof for the certification.
-
It’s very simple! Contact us by email at info@unisoap.org or by phone at +33 6 09 23 63 99, and we’ll get back to you promptly with a scheduled pickup date.
-
We know housekeeping teams have many responsibilities, so we make internal soap collection as easy as possible. You’ll receive a communication kit with practical tips to guide your teams.
-
We can help you order UNISOAP collection boxes to place on housekeeping carts. Please contact Julie Leray at sales4@mercura.com or +33 6 46 13 35 89 to order.
We do not provide cartons for pickup. In line with our commitment to reduce plastic and encourage reuse, we recommend storing soaps in existing cartons (e.g., the ones in which new soaps were delivered) before pickup.
-
To support our mission and help cover part of our logistic costs, partner hotels make an annual financial donation based on the number of rooms at the property.
A tax receipt will be sent to you within two weeks of receiving your donation, allowing your hotel to benefit from a 60% tax deduction because UNISOAP is a non-profit organization recognized as serving the public interest.
-
UNISOAP’s soap recycling process fully complies with current cosmetic regulations. Experts in cosmetology support us to ensure that all hygiene standards are met.
Used hotel soaps are recycled by workers at an ESAT facility into new bars of soap weighing 50 g or 100 g.
We have developed a process that ensures perfect quality and traceability at every stage.
-
The entire recycling process takes place at an inclusive workshop, specifically at Les Ateliers Denis-Cordonnier in the Lyon region. From storage and sorting to cleaning, recycling, and packaging, all operations are adapted to support workers with disabilities.
-
We have identified four major hygiene access projects serving different target groups, in partnership with various charities:
Women’s well-being: single women or women with children who are especially vulnerable.
Hygiene for all: for people in extreme hardship such as the homeless or refugees.
Social inclusion for youth: particularly students, who often lack income and are hit hardest by inflation.
Disability & hardship: to help people who are both disabled and economically vulnerable, as public support alone is often insufficient. Our soaps are mainly distributed in France, and for special initiatives have also been sent to Mayotte, Belgium and Ukraine.
-
To highlight your engagement with UNISOAP, we provide a full Communication Kit containing ready-to-use social media posts, materials for display to your teams, and many other resources.
-
Yes. We also accept donations of new hygiene products! Please contact us at asso@unisoap.org to arrange the details.
-
Each year, when renewing the partnership, we provide our hotel partners with a detailed report showcasing the work of their teams and highlighting their CSR engagement.
We remain available throughout the year to share any additional information you may need.
